Patrick M. Chiasson, M.D., C.M., M.A., F.R.C.S.C., is a bariatric surgeon interested in the application of advanced laparoscopic techniques to gastro-intestinal cancer, solid organ conditions, and the surgical management of morbid obesity. Dr. Chiasson has also contributed to numerous publications addressing issues such as Minimally Invasive Surgery techniques and outcomes and health policy. Dr. Chiasson received his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He also holds a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Chiasson is an active member of many professional organizations, including the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons.
